Follow Trey
- KYTrey: Good legislative day as our 3 bills that will reduce red tape for businesses & our 2 bills improving elections passed out of committee.
- KYTrey: Visited HQ of Vision Motor Cars which plans to build plug-in electric cars in Whitley Co in near future. http://www.visionmotorcars.com.
- KYTrey: At 13th Region finals watching Corbin & North Laurel play for trip to Sweet 16. North Laurel is coached by my old Dixie teammate Jim Conway.
- KYTrey: Just had lunch with Kate at her elementary school. Had chicken sandwiches, corn, applesauce & milk. I was the only boy at the table.
- KYTrey: Just finished recording KSR podcast. Had a lot of fun talking UK basketball and politics, two of my favorite topics, with @KYSportsRadio.
Veterans
If elected to the U.S. Senate I will support keeping the promises made to our veterans. Our government must live up to the commitments it has made to those who have sacrificed to protect our freedom. The primary duty of the federal government is to protect our national defense. I will work to ensure that our men and women in combat zones have the training and equipment necessary to complete their missions.
Additionally I support:
- Providing pay raises for our military personnel
- Increasing the force strength of our active duty military to increase time between deployments
- Sufficiently funding veterans’ programs, including health care
- Providing incentives for employers who hire returning veterans
- Continuing to support educational benefits through the GI Bill for veterans and their families
If I am elected one of my top priorities will be providing top-notch constituent services to veterans and their families who need assistance with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs or the Department of Defense.
