Secretary of State Trey Grayson made the following statement today on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade:
"Today marks the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s tragic decision in the case of Roe v. Wade. This unfortunate ruling overturned laws that were in place to protect the life of the unborn. This weekend thousands will gather in Washington, D.C. to march in commitment for full protection of the unborn, and I applaud this effort.
"If elected to the United States Senate, I will be a voice for the unborn and fight for those who cannot defend themselves. I will support a Human Life Amendment and work to ensure that the federal government protects and preserves individuals’ right to life, including the elderly, terminally ill and unborn children.
